Welcome to Videos and Photos of Ireland
There is no better way to get a flavour of any country's culture than to see it through the lense of a camera. As they say: 'A picture is worth a thousand words'. A video must be worth thousands more.
On this site - between pictures and videos - you will see a 'warts and all' Ireland.
Videos will be catagorized according to subjects...some of which may not be searched for very often.
I also have many pages of hundreds of photos of Ireland which I have taken myself and which mostly show the scenic beauty that exemplifies Ireland. As I live close to the Kildare/Wicklow border, I hope to augment my photos pages with hundreds more images over the summer.

These videos take a general look at the Emerald Isle and include the scenic beauty of the country with ideas on things to do while here as a tourist.

Ever since Riverdance was first seen when we hosted the Eurovision Song Contest some years ago, Irish dancing has become a very popular activity worldwide. There are dozens of Irish dancing videos being uploaded to the web now on a daily basis which will add more to it's appeal.

Of course, Irish music goes hand in hand with Irish dancing and on these pages you will see all sorts of instruments being played...some not so well but, much better than what I could do.

Helped on by the advent of the internet, Irish Theatre is now big business in many parts of the world with theatre workshops being an important part of all levels of education.

It's not everyone who can successfully render an Irish joke and the funniest part of some of these jokes videos is watching people making a complete bags of it.

Horse Racing is a major industry in Ireland and presently growing in popularity with dozens of racecourses dotted all over the country. The most famous of these racecourses is the Curragh in County Kildare where some of the richest and most prestigious races in the world are run.

The Irish are now getting into the cooking of food like it has just been discovered with numerous TV programs covering the subject.
